Nails Of New Albany

Honestly, not worth it at all for the price. I wanted to give this place a second chance after my first bad experience. I walked in asking for an acrylic set. Once I was sat down, I told the tech that I wanted square nails that were very sharp and cleaned up because often whenever I get square they make them more roundish at the tips, she confirmed back to me but never ended up sharpening them or really shaping them at all. While applying the nails, a few were crooked so I mentioned this immediately as to not waste anyone’s time and was told it would be fixed after the acrylic was on. When my nails were cut they were not at all checked to make sure the length was the same on both sides or even next to each other . The length I wanted was way shorter than what I ended up receiving .As the acrylic is being applied, it was put on in way too thick of a blob. I figured once again it would be sanded down so didn’t say anything and it never was. not only that but acrylic was left on my skin even after I left and paid. While shaving off the slightest amount of acrylic my cuticles got injured as I got burned like 3 times. I came midday but felt rushed like someone coming in before close. I paid 87 before tip even just for nails that look like they could have been better done by someone fresh out of cosmetology school. I didn’t even bother asking for a fix with how many problems that were occurring because I shouldn’t and do not want to have to tell someone how to do their job. I know it could have been worse but still doesn’t make it fair to customers who willingly spend this much every few weeks to pay for a service.

I’m a busy, working mom of a toddler that wanted to have nice nails for the holidays. I got my nails done December 16, and the thumbs were already chipping by December 18. The middle finger, on my non-dominant hand, is now chipping, too. It’s only December 21. This morning, my first day of winter break, I went to get them fixed. It’s 10:13am as I’m writing this, and I was told I can come back at 6-6:30pm to get them fixed. Apparently, they have zero time for a walk-in even though last Saturday I walked in around the same time and was serviced immediately. I asked if I could just get them soaked off now and was told no, so I declined to come back because I won’t be available at that time. I asked for a refund because this set of nails was $88 and didn’t even last a week, again, I was told no. The woman stated the nail tech still did the work. On one hand, I understand, but on the other hand, if I can’t even have my problem rectified in a timely manner, it’s unfair for me to have paid for a service where their end of the purchase did not fare as it should have. I understand it’s a busy time of the year, but I shouldn’t be asked to come back because of a mistake on their end. It feels incredibly unfair to be unable to squeeze someone in even to soak off their nails for something I didn’t cause. It feels like because I wouldn’t have been a paying customer in that moment they didn’t care to have my nails fixed. I won’t be back. Too expensive for the quality & customer service.

I initially came in three weeks ago for a gel manicure. I was happy. Today I went back for a gel manicure. I didn't realize that my nails were going to be filed all the way down, they are so thin now that if I take the polish off it'll take six to eight weeks to bounce back. I'm some what satisfied with the look of the polish, some of the nails are thick and not level. There is polish on my skin, and my fingers still look really rough. Not worth 62$

Horrible experiences!! If I could give a negative star I would. I've been trying to stay with this shop because it's near my home, but they are not consistent. In fact, they charged me $90 for a french tip set. Talk about inflation!!! Highway robbery. On top of that they left all the acrylic residue on my daughters nails and fingers. I truly believe they don't want people of color in their shop to appease the masses in New Albany. I live in N.A. and I should be treated like everyone else. Also, my finger was cut today as the women cut my cuticles. It was a horrible experience. In addition to this look at the shape of my daughters nails and they are thin. I'm totally upset, they don't have to worry about me as a customer in the future.
